Director

I’m very excited about the new opportunity to serve and support the ministry
of Faith Lutheran Church and the families of Lambs of Faith Preschool and
Faith Lutheran School as the Preschool and Extended Care Director this
fall. I have been a teacher at Lambs of Faith Preschool since 2008. After
having children of my own, I discovered a love for teaching and early
childhood and spent time teaching and facilitating “Mom and Me” programs
through Faith Lutheran Church’s Board of Youth and Family and the Parent
Connection sponsored by Scripps Hospital. Prior to teaching, I was a
Business Analyst for both Legoland and UCSD
performing training, process modeling, project management,
and customization of software. Before that, in Human Resources at UCSD, I
was a Staffing Specialist doing
recruitment, training and web development. I earned my Bachelor’s
Degree from CSUSB in Business Administration, Certificate in Web Publishing
from UCSD, early childhood units from Mira Costa, Saddleback University and
Concordia University, Irvine, and my Colloquy through Concordia University.
My husband Mark and I were married at Faith Lutheran in 1996 and have three
boys, Adam (10), Evan (8) and Ryan (5) who attend Faith Lutheran School.
During my time at Faith, I have served on the PTL Boards, Board of Youth,
Board of Christian Life, and as a Sunday School Teacher.

Jennifer Groscup
Teacher |
Hello, I
am Jennifer East Groscup, born and raised in the Tri-City area. I am a
true southern Californian girl. Attending Vista High School and being a part
of numerous organizations at a very young age gave me the opportunity to
enjoy getting to know people and working with many people. I attended
Palomar and Mira Costa Jr. Colleges receiving my certification as a Medical
Assistant and earn units for teaching as an Early Child Educator. I have
completed my Early Childhood Curriculum for Lutheran Teachers class through
Concordia as well as Handwriting Without Tears and am a member of NAEYC. My past
dreams have been fulfilled full circle by the Lord Himself. As a lifeguard
and swim instructor for 12 years I knew I wanted to teach children. Now,
after years in the medical field, the Lord led me back to the dream of
teaching His children. I was fortunate to
meet and marry a man who not only grew up two miles from me but one that
brought me to know the Lutheran faith and Faith Lutheran Church with his
family attending for 20+ years. We have been blessed with two wonderful
girls twelve months apart. Both are healthy and
students of Faith Lutheran School. We are very fortunate to have loving
family and friends in our daily lives. |

Beckie Kloos

My name is Beckie
Kloos, and I am excited to be the newest teacher at Lambs of Faith
Preschool. I have lived in Vista all my life. Following high school, I was
an education major at Point Loma Nazarene University. Recently, I have
studied Early Childhood Development at Mira Costa College in order to
fulfill my dream of becoming a preschool teacher. My husband Dan and I are
long- time members of Faith Lutheran Church. Our two daughters, Emily and
Katie, attended preschool and kindergarten through 8th grade here
at Faith and are now both attending Concordia University in Irvine. We also
have a daughter, son in-law, and two granddaughters who live in Minnesota.
Over the past twenty years, I have spent the bulk of my time raising
children and volunteering in preschool, school, church, and community
organizations. My recent involvement in Early Childhood Education at Mira
Costa has lead to in depth volunteer experiences at First Presbyterian
Preschool in Oceanside and Mission Meadows Kindergarten. I am thankful for
this opportunity to serve God and His little lambs here at Faith Lutheran

Jessica Cortez

My
name is Jessica Cortez. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family
Development from San Diego State University. I worked for two years at an
infant and toddler development center for teen moms in the San Diego City
Unified School District. This program allowed me to teach parenting and
child development to at risk teen moms, while they finished high school. I
also taught preschool for two years at a child development center in La
Jolla, before dedicating myself to raising my own family. I have been
blessed with two children ages 9 and 7. They both attended preschool at
Lambs of Faith for two years each. While my children were at Lambs, we were
introduced to the wonderful church and community here at Faith Lutheran
Church. I have enjoyed teaching for Vacation Bible School and have been
substituting at Lambs of Faith for the past two years. I am very excited to
join the staff at Lambs of Faith! I look forward to working with the
