General Overview

 

Lambs of Faith Lutheran Early Childhood Center is located on the campus of Faith Lutheran Church and Schools in Vista, California. Sharing this location allows families to become part of our community of believers.
While providing this experience, we share your concern to keep your child safe in our well-maintained and

state-of-the-art facility.   Chapel is held weekly to enrich the lives of both children and staff. If you wish to join us for this time, please feel free to stop in during the Wednesday or Thursday service.

 

 

The staff at Lambs of Faith Early Childhood Center are fully qualified and meet the licensing standards for child care. we view our responsibility to your child as "second to none". We understand that you are entrusting us with your most valuable asset.  We believe we are contributing to America's future by what we teach, the examples we set, and the self-esteem we help your child to develop.  Our goal is to remain professional, treat all children with respect, and encourage confidence in their own abilities. While striving for this goal, we are ever mindful that you, as the parent or guardian, are your child's first teacher.

 

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe that play is a child's vocation. It is through this medium that he/she learns to organize his/her thoughts and actions. The purpose of Lambs of Faith Lutheran Early Childhood Center is to “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6) by providing a Christ-centered environment for students to foster self-esteem and to develop at their own rate of spiritual, emotional, cognitive, social, and physical growth.

 

Summary of Age-Level Characteristics for Preschool Children

 

 

2011-2012 School Year

                                                                   Preschool hours are 9 a.m. - 1 2 p.m.
                                                                  Extended Care hours are 6:30 - 9 a.m., & 12 - 6 p.m.
 

Lambs of Faith Early Childhood Center ...      ....is open to any child regardless of race, creed or nationality.      .....is licensed by the California Department of Health - Community Care Licensing Division.      .....will enroll children from the age of 2 years, to the age of entrance to kindergarten.      .....limits classroom size to assure quality teacher-child relationships.

The following is a sample of a daily preschool schedule:    9:00       Arrival    9:15       Open Circle & Jesus Time    9:30       Work / Play Activities*    10:15     Snack Time    10:30     Enrichment Circle    10:45     Outside Play Activities    11:45     Closing Circle    12:00     Dismissal      * Our work/play period enables the teachers to interact with the    children in small groups or allows the child to explore various    interest centers in the "Big Room".
